Soon time to settle down

I know that I have been M.I.A for a while, trying to cram in as much as I could into the "final" days of summer.

I promise I will be back at it regularly with more tips and more inspiration - and especially, more fashion!

In the meantime, here is what I have been up to.

When in doubt, go to the beach!

Ice cream break.

Out for dinner style.

Family Tie-Dye project.

Trip to Sandbanks.

Business lunch with the lovely Christine from Purple Essentials.

Fun filled day swimming and spending time with family by the camp fire.

We took a break from driving and found a beautiful and quiet beach.

Collecting rocks.

We have visited Menchies on numerous occasions this summer!

Making bracelets and necklaces.

Picnic lunch at Lake Ontario Park.

Shopping time in Montreal. My store picks - Simons and Zara.

The girls spending time with their favourite uncle!

More cottage time. A beautiful day spent at a friend's cottage in Ste-Agathe, Quebec.

Here's to the never ending summer! We definitely made the most of everyday.
Happy September!

Fancy a Pimm's

Travelling to England was something that we did almost every summer when I was a kid. Both my parents were born there, and we still have relatives living in Richmond.  When I was 21, I was lucky enough to live in England for just over a year. So it's no wonder that I hold a soft spot for Britain.
And just like fish & chips, bangers & mash and scones with clotted cream, Pimm's won a special place in my heart!

So, 1, to celebrate the end of the London Olympics and 2, my parents return (yes, they were just in England & got to experience the games!), I have decided to share my version of a Pimm's Royale.

Mix one part Pimm's No1 with two parts lemonade along with 2 parts sparkling wine (or Champagne) and add lots of ice. Then, if you like, you can add to the mix, chopped cucumber, some strawberries and a handful of mint.  Refreshingly delicious!

Crochet Obsession

My latest obsession. Crochet. I will be more than happy to wear crochet all summer long. Who wouldn't? Think about it? The semi-sheer fabric offers a glimpse of skin while keeping you covered up. And who doesn't love items of clothing that have built in vents to keep you cool?

Here are some crochet inspirations.
